Sling Media's award winning Slingbox turns any Internet-connected PC, Mac, or mobile device into your home television allowing you to watch your TV virtually anywhere in the world. The Sling Entertainment Group is a division of Sling Media and will deliver new applications and services enabled by the Slingbox's marriage of familiar TV programming and richly interactive web-connected devices.
The Front-End Technologies Architect is the primary front-end technology lead. You are responsible for managing, defining, and implementing the programming framework for all projects based on creative and product management direction. You will manage a team of front-end technologists in the development and execution of presentation level code. You will establish presentation layer requirements, guidelines, and processes to manage workflow.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 7 years experience in web development
- Understanding of good design principles and ability to adhere to complex design specifications during implementation
- Solid understanding of web best practices and standards
- Superior knowledge of front-end coding technologies including HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, & Flash.
- Server side development expertise (e.g. JSP, PHP, Ruby, XSL/XSLT)
- Experience with Rich Internet Applications and specifically online video
- Demonstrated ability to accurately estimate and scope development work
- Strong written & oral communication as well as presentation skills
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Demonstrated team management and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment
- Desirable Experience With:
- Analytics Solutions (e.g. Omniture, WebSideStory, WebTrends)
- Content Management Systems
- Ad Serving Platforms
- Flash/JavaScript communication
