Job Title: Technical Lead / Senior Technical Lead - Hardware

Key Responsibilities - Design / develop / debug hardware boards for Multimedia products targeting “Digital Home”
- Conduct design reviews and ensure that design/implementation is cost optimized, reliable and meet the required performance
- Responsible for interacting with various vendors, customers, component manufacturers and others for product design.
- Responsible for co-ordination with the manufacturing hours for various products.
- Play integral role in interviewing, mentoring & growing the Hardware team
- Participate in design review meetings to discuss PRD requirements and translate them into Product Engineering Specifications.
- Institute process methodologies to enable efficient design/development and ensure introduction of "First time right" products
Education and Experience Required - B.E./M.E./M.Tech. in EE / ECE with minimum of 5 years experience in design and development of boards having DSP / Microprocessor / Microcontroller having interfaces like PCI, USB, 1394, PCMCIA
- Very strong exposure to High speed board design with digital, analog & mixed signal components
- Worked with schematic capture tools like ORCAD and familiar with board layout tools like PADS, Allegro, etc.
- Strong ability to debug boards using logic analyzer, Oscilloscope, and other test equipments
- Very Good understanding on Power, Thermal, FCC/CE compliance testing of products
- Good Experience in development of FPGA/CPLD devices from Xilinx, Altera, etc.
- Good experience in development of Verilog/VHDL RTL
- Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented - strong organizational/multi-tasking/prioritization skills
- Should have good understanding on multimedia consumer products with knowledge on video standards - analog and digital such as NTSC, PAL, ATSC, DVB, etc
- Must be able to lead, mentor and motivate a team of Hardware engineers
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Must demonstrate a hands on approach
