Job Title: Senior Software Engineer – Mobile Application Software, Palm OS

Reports To:
Key Responsibilities - Directly participate in design and development of multimedia/networking software products on Palm OS 5 based devices.
- Architect multimedia software frameworks for Sling Media mobile software products that address the requirements of Slingbox client software.
- Design and implement software on the target platforms.
- Design, implementation and documentation of various project components.
- Integration of various product components and maintenance of product release process.
- Work with the QA group to track open issues, and close them on priority basis.
- Team code review and maintenance.
- Insure that project source code follows company guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain project technical documentation following company guidelines.
Education and Experience Required - B.E and/or MS/M.Tech in Electronics or Computer Science.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in design and development experience out of which minimum of 2 years experience on application design/development on Palm OS 5 based devices.
- Excellent knowledge of C++ and object-oriented design.
- Solid knowledge of target mobile platforms, system architecture and constraints.
- Knowledge of MFC, ATL and COM programming on Microsoft Windows platform is a plus.
- Development experience on J2ME / BREW / Symbian is a plus
- Strong multimedia background with the focus on streaming video and audio or networking is a plus
- Excellent problem analysis and debugging skills.
